Book Club Shelf is a static affiliate website. We use outbound links to Amazon and may use privacy-conscious analytics tools such as Cloudflare Web Analytics, Google Analytics, or Microsoft Clarity when configured by the site owner.

You can read the public guides without creating an account or submitting a profile. The site does not process orders, store payment details, or receive Amazon account information. Data handled by a retailer or another site after you leave Book Club Shelf is governed by that service's own privacy terms.

Affiliate links

Amazon links may include the affiliate tag audiobooksstore00-20. Amazon may process data according to its own policies when you click through.

Affiliate parameters identify Book Club Shelf as the referring publisher. They do not give this site access to your name, order number, delivery address, payment method, or complete Amazon browsing history. Amazon may use cookies or comparable technologies to attribute a qualifying purchase under its Associates program.

Analytics

The site is built with optional analytics hooks for page views, carousel interactions, newsletter intent, and outbound affiliate clicks. Analytics IDs are not hardcoded; they are configured through deployment environment variables when enabled.

These tools may collect technical information such as page URL, approximate location, device and browser type, referring page, visit timing, and interaction events. Analytics scripts are delayed until the page is idle or a visitor interacts, which improves performance and limits unnecessary work during the first render. Book Club Shelf does not intentionally send form contents, retailer account data, or sensitive personal information in analytics events.

Cookies and browser controls

Browser settings can block or clear cookies, restrict tracking, and disable JavaScript. Content remains available when optional analytics are blocked, although outbound retailers may require their own cookies or scripts to complete a purchase. Privacy extensions and global browser controls may also reduce the data available to analytics providers.

Contact and newsletter intent

If you choose to contact Book Club Shelf or request updates, the information you provide is used to respond or send the requested content. A dedicated email/newsletter provider should be connected before collecting subscribers at scale.

Do not submit order numbers, payment details, home addresses, or other sensitive purchase information. Book Club Shelf cannot inspect or change an Amazon order. Retailer support is the correct destination for delivery, returns, account, and payment questions.

Policy updates

This notice is reviewed when analytics, newsletter, hosting, or contact tools change. Material updates are reflected in the site's modification date. The current policy date is 2026-08-26.
